YARMOUTH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT

Throughout this pandemic, educators in the Yarmouth Schools have joined essential workers throughout the country to keep schools and the economy operating as close to normal as possible. This morning provided us with yet another example of our school professionals going the extra mile, as members of the YSD nursing staff arrived at the transportation garage before 6:30 a.m. to conduct serial COVID-19 testing of our drivers. The drivers, who each volunteered to be tested in order to be able to drive today, and the nurses, who put in extra hours early in the morning to administer the tests, exemplify the commitment staff make each day to ensure students are safe and schools are open. We thank them all for their dedication to our students!
