waving hands and ballooons

We are pleased to share that Governor Mills, at her 2:00 press conference on Wednesday, June 9, announced that the physical distancing guidelines that have been so restrictive for Maine schools for the past 15 months will be eliminated for the Fall of 2021.  This is fantastic news for the Yarmouth Schools, allowing us to open as planned on September 1 with all students attending in person five days per week, following our normal school day schedule.

Superintendent Dolloff's letter to the community, sent last week, outlined the general plan for the fall, and Governor Mills' announcement bolsters the likelihood that this plan will be implemented successfully with no need for added expenditures.

This is a great way to bring this school year to an end - and reason for much optimism for the 2021-2022 school year!
