Shanna Crofton joined the Yarmouth School Department in August 2021. She has worked in both private and public education and has experience working in building and district-level roles. Prior professional experiences include serving as a chief academic officer, middle and high school principal, classroom teacher, and coach. In addition to the United States, Shanna has lived and worked in Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Switzerland, and India. Shanna completed her bachelor’s degree at Bowdoin College, her Master’s degree at the School for International Training, and her Certificate of Advanced Educational Leadership at the University of New England. 

As the Director of Teaching and Learning, Shanna oversees the curriculum review process for all learning areas, gifted and talented supports, multilingual learners, coordinates district-wide professional development, and helps lead PreK-12 program development. Shanna works alongside the Director of Instructional Support to oversee Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS).
